Job recruitment scam So I'm a recent graduate majoring in Industrial Hygiene who has been applying to a ton of jobs over the last couple months. Last week I got an email from a consulting company, Anderson Search Group Consulting, saying the following: "IHGuy, This is Gary Thomas and I work for Andersen Consulting Search Group as the hiring manager for the Industrial Hygienist positions. I received your information from our career placement associates based on your recent inquiry to you us. I am looking to fill a Industrial Hygienist open position in Toronto, ON. To learn more about me and my company, you can go to our website at: http://www.acsginc.com or give me a call. You can review the details of this position on our website at: http://www.acsginc.com/19-2/ Please let me know if you are interested or have any questions. Best Regards, Gary Thomas Director Human Resource Talent Management +1 (202) 602 - 2031 x 701 gthomas@acsginc.com http://www.acsginc.com/gary-thomas" So I emailed the guy back saying I was interested, and he has me set up a phone interview for Friday via an online system. Then tells me I need to do an aptitude test, a questionnaire (basic info, address, phone #'s, etc.) and a reference form. So I google the consulting company, and the only person who's name shows up on the site is this Gary Thomas guy. There was a picture on the page detailing his info, and a reverse search brought me to a Washington DC photographers site. That site had a different guy listed on the same picture. Also, nobody including Gary Thomas shows up on Linkedin as being from this company. The whole thing seems super sketchy to me. Sorry for the long poorly written post, does anyone know anything about scams like this?
