If you're having trouble logging into your Aura account... Hi All - I wanted to post this for those of you who have signed up with [Aura.com](http://Aura.com) for identity protection. I signed up today and had a hell of a time logging into my account. I would put in the correct email and password (after setting it up) and would get a screen stating "collecting your account info" where it would just hang forever or it would go to an error screen and ask that I call Customer Service. After speaking to several customer service reps I finally figured out the fix - so hopefully this helps you if you are in the same predicament. 1. Try a different browser and/or restart your computer 2. Clear your browser data and cache 3. Ensure your internet is working (it probably is) and flush your DNS cache. Go to your Windows command prompt and type in: ipconfig /flushdns 4. Make sure your Windows IP settings are set to Automatic DHCP (this can be found in Windows Settings or google it - not hard to find.) 5. Make sure your PC clock is set to your correct time zone (found in Windows settings - usually under "Time and Language") and then click the "SYNC NOW" button. Believe it or not, this can actually affect your ability to log in - it was the final fix that did it for me. 6. If none of this works - call support and ask them to transfer you to Tech Support. I hope this info helps. Cheers!
Aura alert: I signed up for Aura's identity protection & immediately got a fishy alert notice from my credit card company. After weeks of deliberation about identity theft protection, I finally chose Aura. After paying, I immediately I got a Potential Fraud Alert from my credit card company. It identified a small fee from Aura.com. (Much smaller than the enrollment fee). It also showed a purchase of the enrollment fee from AURA DOT COM. I've never heard of a legitimate company using a spelled out URL. Have I been scammed?
Experiment - Which service alerts you the fastest when something happens? I’ve never really thought of this but I was a bit bored today and wanted to see how fast each service alerts me when my new credit card was added onto Experian today. * Aura.com alerted me 1:16 PM * Experian Alerts themselves alerted 5:16 PM * Discover email alerted me 6:04 PM * Discover SMS alerted me 6:36 PM * Chase alerted me 6:36 PM * I still have a few different banks/CK/Citi ID Monitoring, not sure if they alert Experian, but I've received nothing from them, I migrated from Discover ID theft to Aura just a few days ago so in no way am I vouching for it, Idk the product yet, I moved to save a bit of $ on the subscription. I’m honestly pretty grossed out by the fact that your entire ID (Full SSN) can be viewed both via mobile & web app - that's a different story. Tho, this is a fun experiment, I'm also interested in seeing which one catches "Dark web" (breaches) faster, and which ones alert you when I apply for credit faster, etc. I should touch grass, anyway if anyone has done something similar and has the metrics, feel free to share!!
Are you in need of identity theft protection? Get a two-week free trial of Aura today! I figured someone could use this leg up. Having been a victim of identity theft, I know all too well what it's like to have someone wreck your credit and ruin your identity. What's worse, my identity was stolen by someone in my family. They used it to open multiple credit card accounts, get out a car loan, pay rent, pay utility bills, and for other things that downright killed my credit score. I felt powerless. I don't want anyone to experience that feeling. That's why I'm really advocating for this new identity theft protection program. Aura has all kinds of cool features that help keep your identity safe and protect you 24/7 from scammers and brokers who may want to steal your information. It also offers other features like antivirus/malware protection, VPN, password management, parental controls, identity theft insurance, and more, without having to download several different apps. If this is something you're interested in, you can start a two-week free trial now and see if it's a good fit for you. Use the link [https://aura.com/justalyx](https://aura.com/justalyx) and get your identity protected today. After two weeks, it offers 63% off your first month. Are You Looking For An Identity Theft Protection Service? In my opinion, the top identity theft protection program to use is ***Aura***. ***Aura*** is an identity theft protection program that works to keep your info off the dark web. Emails, passwords, name, address, phone number, etc. It will let you know in seconds if your info got leaked and has tools to remove it, if not at least let you know it’s been leaked. On top of identity theft protection, it also gives you access to features like antivirus/malware protection, VPN, password management, parental controls, identity theft insurance, and more, which are all consolidated into a single platform without the hassle of downloading multiple apps. If you want to try it out, I suggest you get a two-week free trial and see how it works first. Then if you like it, keep it as your main protection from identity theft.
