Community Reports

What happened Our company was contacted by an individual posing as a legitimate customer using the email address [email protected] . Based on that request, we sourced a vendor operating under the names Zenipro LLC and Ballmint Industries. What the scammer did After issuing a purchase order, we made an initial wire payment of approximately $40,365.50 USD to a beneficiary listed as Zenitn Pro LLC. After payment, the vendor: Requested additional funds but changed the beneficiary name to a different entity Refused to ship product without further payment The vendor changed payment instructions after initial funds were sent Provided inconsistent and conflicting refund information Avoided providing verifiable business documentation (W-9, EIN, verified references) The associated websites (zeniprollc.com and ballmintindustries.com) were recently created and appear to be part of the same operation. We halted all additional payments, cancelled the order, requested a refund, and initiated a wire recall with our bank. We are reporting this as a suspected vendor impersonation and wire fraud scheme. Businesses should verify new vendors before issuing payments, including confirming business registration, validating tax information, independently verifying phone numbers, and avoiding wire transfers to entities that do not match the vendor name.
