Introducing the Bill of eRights, Also Known as the CAN'T SPAM Act, to Protect Consumers from Spam As a well-needed public service that is long overdue, we are introducing the Bill of eRights, also known as the CAN’T-SPAM Act, through a petition on Change .org. The average email user receives 82 emails per day. That equates to a total of 347 billion emails per day globally, or roughly 127 trillion emails sent worldwide during 2024. More than half, or 63 trillion, were unwanted and unsolicited spam – an incredible drain on Internet resources. Printing these spam messages on standard sheets of paper and placing them in a single stack would create a tower 3.9 million miles tall! The Moon is only 240,000 miles away… We are sick to death of the incessant flow of this garbage flowing into our inboxes, on average wasting three hours per week deleting it (not including managing virused computers). That is nearly one 160-hour work week per year… lost time that you will never get back. If you agree, let’s stop the insanity!Help get this petition off the ground and when we have enough support, we can motivate the government to take the first meaningful action to mitigate spam since the altogether worthless CAN-SPAM Act of 2003!
