Oliver contacted me via email, connected on Microsoft Teams and I did a 30-minute questionnaire at https://candidate.interviewquestionnaire.com/remoteproofreaderneshealth. I was offered a remote position at $40 per hour. I signed onboarding paperwork, an employment contract (where they got my driver's license and ssn) and then Oliver sent me a check, got me to deposit it in my checking account and told me I had to use Cashapp or Venmo to pay "a vendor" for a computer and software for my home office for the position, which was to start on April 6. I realized that it was a scam and immediately reported it to the credit ratings bureaus and my bank. The scammer tried calling my phone and I blocked him.
