Can someone make a fake email using a domain they don't own? Hi all, I received an offer for a job. Someone got in touch with me via email. Let's call this person John. I'm still a bit skeptical about the offer, but one thing I noticed about John is their email uses the domain of the company. I used Clearbit to look through their "employer's" website and Clearbit gives me two domains the employees use. John's email uses one of the two domains. But I have reasons for being skeptical, so my question is, is it possible for John to make an email using the domain of a company they're not working for? For instance, can they make an email [john@companyx.com](mailto:johndoe@companyx.com) if they're not actually an employee of Company X? Thanks
