credit reports and numbers and stuff hi! i recently started using creditsesame.com from a recommendation on reddit. i am not sure if it is just the way they calculate the score or how accurately it reflects my true credit score (fico). so here is the issue. i recently had very good credit rating, approximately 800 last month (via credit sesame). then i was away on business and accrued some expenses on my credit card (one of two, the only one i use), approximately $2500 of a total $12000 from my credit line. now this money is not technically due til NEXT month (i always pay before its even due). yet on my most recent update from credit sesame it says i've only paid $50 of my $2500 balance, and my credit sesame ration dropped to approximately 670. i spoke with the credit card company and they had NO negatives reported to the credit bureaus and i pay off in full every month. so that leads me to my question, WTF? does using a sixth of your credit line normally drop credit sesame (or FICO or any system) rating that much? both companies tried to say maybe the balance data wasn't up to date, but seriously what gives? now as i understand myfico.com does actual FICO scores, but with a trial membership.... is this another scam or can i actually cancel before the trial membership and get the numbers for free (real FICO numbers). this is all important because i am planning on getting a home loan within the next few months. please help a disgruntled credit-worthy fellow
