Community Reports

The merchant uses the name "Ellie Seattle" on a website with URL https://ellie-seattle.com/. On the website, It advertised that they are selling their Stained-Glass lamps at 80% discount due to closing of business. The website shows many pictures of their products in stained glass in animal forms of Tiffany quality, with pictures showing two women who supposedly are the ones who hand-made the products. I had ordered 15 items with my credit card on Feb 5. I received 4 items on Feb 19. The products range between $44.95 to $54.95 per item. Also, they haven't followed up with when they are shipping the remaining items. When I open the shipment, the products are very different from what they advertised. The 4 items that I'd received are NOT stained glass, but each is a single piece of plastic of very low quality that are like things sold in Dollar Stores, like the Dollar Tree. I emailed them about the disappointment and requested to cancel the remaining 11 items that they seem to have forgotten altogether. Their website does NOT include any phone number or any address. They don't even indicate what country they are in. However, it does indicate that they are based in Asia, but with no particular country mentioned. When carefully looking at the pictures they posted on the website, it appears that they are very likely AI generated pictures, both the two women and the products. I want to report that they are obviously a scam that has already claimed many victims. I wish my reporting them on BBB can help stop them from scamming more victims, as well as alerting other consumers to be very careful. Hopefully we will be careful enough to do more research on the businesses before we jump into any purchases.
