a business using my name as their email address/website So I've had the email address [firstname.lastname@gmail.com](mailto:firstname.lastname@gmail.com) since Gmail rolled out. Recently, I've noticed a significant amount of mail coming to [firstnamelastname@gmail.com](mailto:firstnamelastname@gmail.com) without the dot. I know how email works and that both of these are my name. These emails are evidently intended for other people that share my name, which is fairly uncommon, but a few people in the US do share it. Now someone in my state has started using [firstnamelastname.net](https://firstnamelastname.net) (which I used to have, but let lapse years ago) as their business website and [firstnamelastname.extraword@gmail.com](mailto:firstnamelastname.extraword@gmail.com) as their primary business email address. (Yes, a business using a flaky Gmail address, he doesn't even use his own domain for email.) This guy does not have my name, he just thought the name as used for his business "Firstname's Lastname" was clever, as its sort of a pun for his line of business. Now I'm getting product registrations and emails from his vendors; containing full names and information on his customers and what they bought; and I actually think his usage has led to an increase in spam because my inbox also started to explode with x-rated spam, every single one of them from a Gmail address. What, if anything, can I do? Is this the right sub for this question? Thanks.
