Unsolicited Magazines (Scam?) (I am a fairly new user, and I posted a question about this over on /r/Advice but I did not receive much help.) I wanted to share my story on here in hopes that it will help someone else if they were to ever find themselves in my shoes. As of right now, it appears my issue is resolved. Please bear with me as the background story is a bit long, but I want to include as many details and steps as possible so others who find themselves in this situation might be able to find this of use. Around the end of February I was informed by my mother that I had received two magazines at her address that were addressed to me using my maiden name. We both agree that it seemed "phishy" and that if a bill were to arrive that I would dispute it/not pay. (I have been married over 9 years now, and nothing, expect one thing mentioned later, is still under my maiden name.) At that time it was only two magazines (O: The Oprah Magazine, and Cosmopolitan), and I figured that I would pick them up and look over them once before I threw them away. Between then and now, three new magazines, all addressed using my maiden name, showed up at her house (Good Housekeeping, Elle, and Shape). Realizing that this wasn't going to go away on its own, I finally use some good key words in a popular search engine and find out some good and some frightening information. According to numerous forum posts around the internet, several people have received these "gifts" and were annoyed as I was about them. Some tried to call and cancel, while others did nothing. I was tempted to "do nothing" but I found a [news article out of Boston](http://boston.cbslocal.com/2013/09/30/i-team-unexpected-mail-delivery-could-hurt-credit-score/) that stated that if a bill were to show, even though they were unsolicited, that if I did not pay that they could send it to a collection agency and it would affect my credit. I did find hope on a page from the [Better Business Bureau](http://www.bbb.o
