I often use resale sites and never have an issue. I found the exact dress I needed for an event on DePop. User chunw_y0 had it for sale. I bought it through DePop and they immediately canceled the order and suggested I buy it through their site (Glamorcityllc.com). Since their site had a LLC and was connected to Shopify (legitimate payment source I've used many times) I went ahead and ordered at the same price and got an official Shopify receipt. I followed up 1 week after purchase as my item still hadn't shipped. The owner promised they'd ship out the following week. I confirmed this would be fine as I do need the item by end of March and this would still give at least 2 weeks' time to ship. I did mention to the owner that I have an event and if they aren't able to ship timely I'd need to look for alternatives. At the end of the 2nd week they reached out saying they actually don't have the item. I asked for a refund as I found an alternative while I waited for their reply. They refused me a refund and instead tried to send me something else that I did not order. I told them I do not trust their services at this point and will report fraud on my card and submit to BBB and haven't heard back since. I'm concerned at the false advertisement, then refusal to give refund when the item I ordered was actually not even available.
