On Facebook marketplace there was an ad for free baby grand piano. I messaged the person and he told me to contact his sister who is the one that is giving the piano away. She gave me her email. I emailed the lady her name was Sandra ******* and she said that her husband passed away he was an avid musician and the baby Grand piano was very special to her. She wanted to give it away. She had someone that was going to take it and they backed out last minute. She said if I contact the movers, I should be able to get them to deliver it to me. She said she was in Jacksonville and I’m in Amelia Island, which is less than 45 minutes away. My husband was a little worried and scared about this being a scam so I told her I didn’t wanna pay the movers if she would pay them And then I would pay her upon delivery and then she could see where her husband‘s piano would sit and would make her feel better. They danced around in circles that I need to contact the moving people. They wouldn’t agree to anything and then when I called the moving company their phone number says it’s disconnected when I kept asking them why it was disconnected they stopped responding then I looked up on the Better Business Bureau, and I saw that it had literally the same Story just different names.
