Is this vacation rental website a scam? http://www.beachatoc.com/WebSearch.aspx?I=Y So, one of my friends has already booked a place with this website so that we could stay there for senior week. Three separate websites (maybe more) link to beachatoc.com for rentals (http://www.ocean-city-senior-week.com/ http://myocbeach.com/ and http://beachatoc.com/ ). And they each are from different companies, but they're all formatted the same. Also, all of the houses seem to be targeted towards graduating high school seniors, and it seems like the website is taking advantage of them. A google search of the website brings no reviews from real people and the only time the website actually rents houses is around senior week season (which again makes it seem like its targeting naive high schoolers). Each rental uses the same phone number (but that might just be because one company distributes all the rentals - but if that's the case then I don't know why three separate companies would link to the same site), and the rentals are only available during senior week. No email addresses are actually listed, though they do have a phone number. They have this system where multiple people can make payments on a rental (to make it easy for multiple students to split up the payment) which might make it easy for whoever this is to get multiple credit card numbers at once. I don't know if other websites have this kind of system too, but it's another thing I'd be suspicious about. There are probably more sketchy things, that I can't think of right now. So, I kinda want to call them on Monday (they don't have calling hours for Sunday) to check their credibility before we pay any other fees. Is this a scam?
