I logged into a what I now know is a fraudulent Neiman Marcus website "nmlastcallus.com" advertising with the NM logo on its site to purchase designer handbags for 90% off. I ordered three bags. I did find it awkward that the Neiman Marcus credit card as well as other cards were not payment options, only PayPal. However, I thought the bags were coming from Neiman Marcus so they were authentic and maybe an overstock situation and I was just getting a real deal. When the bags arrived, I immediately knew they were fake. They were not in Neiman Marcus wrapping nor did they ship from a Neiman Marcus outlet store. The email address was not linked to @neimanmarcus.com, but an outlook.com email address. The telephone number listed to call if you had questions never rang but the message said this number is not accepting phone calls at this time, yet it was listed on the site as a number to call if help were needed. When I reached out to Amber Summers at outlook.com to inquire about a refund, she responded by asking me questions about why I wanted to return the bags. I told her I simply changed my mind. She avoided sending me the refund information, only more questions as to how she could convince me to keep the bags. I knew then it was a scam. Legitimate companies/stores don't question their customers; they just make it right because the customer is always right. So I called the real company Neiman Marcus and reported that someone was using their logo and Last Call Center as a means to sell fake handbags with their store's logo on the website and the emails being labeled from nmstore. The agent said he would notify his supervisor. I have not gotten a response from Amber Summers and question if she is even real, but I would like to see if I can get my $703.50 credited back to my Capital One credit card if they will only allow me information to return the bags.
