Free PS4 Facebook Give Away... A few days ago I spotted this post on my news feed: http://screencast.com/t/W9cvr6lZbE declaring that the PlayStation 4 Fan page was giving away free PS4. Of course I knew this was fraudulent from experience. I fell for the free PS3 scam a few years back. I wonder what it will take to get Facebook's attention, so that they can take this page down. This is the fan page I'm referring too: https://www.facebook.com/PSNPS4 They have deleted their original offer, but they are still operating. This time they've stroke gold with this: http://screencast.com/t/3rosu2HSj They are making money with the Amazon association program. They were able to gather their current fan based with the bogus offer, and now they can advertise for amazon to make a profit. These sort of pages make me sick, despite the fact that I think it is an effective quick cash marketing ploy. Switch and bait... I know that many Reddit users are probably hardcore gamers as well, so please do not like or share any content from that page if you come across it.
