Remote managed iPad??? My mom is in a rehab facility after a stroke/seizures. The family wanted to get her a tablet (iPad preferably) that will serve as a book, browser, Facetime, and Google Hangouts (the last two for us to call her). She does have a phone, but right now it is needed for retrieving login codes, authentication codes, etc for when I pay her bills and log into her accounts (I am her POA). I actually am a tech coordinator in a school and use Mosyle to manage all of our iPads remotely, but Mosyle does not have a "private" version. Their MDM is geared for schools. I have looked at quite a few other MDMs and they have all told me they only work with education/corporations. So I turned to Parental Control apps. I am in a different state than she is and so what I really need to do is: * Add apps remotely as she requests them * Block apps that aren't needed or we don't want her to use * Have Geolocation Has anyone seen anything like this or used anything like this? We can go Android if needed but preferred an Apple device. The reason we wanted to go with Apple is that her phone is an Android and we found a LOT of apps that she paid for that do nothing but monitor what she is doing or claim to "recharge the batter up to 50% faster". She had so many crap apps and once I got control of her bank accounts, I could see all these one-off charges for game coins, monthly subscriptions to apps, etc. So I do need to be able to block what she installs from the App Store, even on an iPad. I know Apple Screentime has quite a few of the features I want, it just doesn't allow the remote management. I know that sounds harsh but her stroke/seizures were serious enough that it has caused permanent memory and cognitive damage. While she can talk "pretty good", some of her thought processes and statements don't make sense sometimes. So I don't want to let her have a device that I can't control remotely. Edit: Thanks to people in s/k12sysadmin I
