Why are people creating separate emails for things? I have a startup ([GateAI](https://www.gateai.space)) where we are currently in waitlist mode so we have many people signing up using their emails. A theme that I started to see was people having emails such as [gateai@theirOwnDomain.com](mailto:gateai@theirowndomain.com). Why do they do that? I am assuming that it is for some privacy reason (hence why I am writing on this subreddit). We do not send spam but I understand why you would want to create a separate one to prevent getting spam. I guess I am trying to understand why or how they are doing this with the main reason being that I want to make sure that these are real people interested in my product. Kind regards, //Sebastian
