I know this is stupid but to be fair i am someone who gets very stressed before tests and my mind was totally focused on the GRE. I was immediately called out by a loss prevention agent who asked if I had payed for my pizza. In my mind I was thinking "Oh shit! I forgot to pay, no biggie im sure they will understand". To my surprise they did not believe a word of my story and I was arrested and charged for petty theft even after i offered to pay. I pleaded with the officer and told him I was there to take my exam for graduate school, that my dream is to be a doctor, that i run a charity organization, that I would never do this intentionally. By the end I could see that he started to understand that I made a careless mistake and he said he would research me more before deciding whether to submit his report or not.
