Is Mobango (a large app marketplace) running an advertising scam? X-Post from /r/gamedev Hi guys, So a few weeks ago I launched [our second game](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apexcreativegames.games.crushFrenzyA) and I wanted to give it a bit of a boost and maybe try some alternatives to Play Store. I didn't mind submitting the APK to as many sites as possible because it's a free game with ads for revenue. Yesterday I tried [Mobango.](http://www.mobango.com) I submitted the game which was all fine and I can see it listed on their site. Then I saw that they offer a "promotion" service where you pay per install. So i thought i'd throw 50 bucks at it to see how it went. I am only paying 5 cents per install so I would be happy if it led to 1000 legit installs. So far it says [507 people have installed it.](http://www.mobango.com/frenzy/?idDeviceWurfl=any_device&cid=1984895&featureSeq=1&catid=10&title=Frenzy&area=10&adv=1&advid=5900&frompage=featured&pageno=3&pni=14) Yet my GameAnalytics stats don't show any increase whatsoever in new users. Our stats are ticking along exactly as they do every day - and no increase at all from Indian users which Mobango is mostly made up of. So.. out of 507 installs, not a single person has actually launched the game? I find that very difficult to believe. So now i'm wondering if maybe Mobango and some other large alternative app markets are maybe running a bit of a scam - maybe the number of installs is just a number that ticks over automatically and nobody is any the wiser. Has anyone had any similar experiences where their paid advertising results dont match their analytics?
