Rippln: the innovative pyramid scheme Rippln terrifies me. It's a pyramid scheme that is designed with the expressed intent of revolutionizing the pyramid scheme. Participants don't pay money, instead they advertise products, and instead of a pyramid, you have a ripple, even though it is usually shown structured and angled as one. This lack of cost is the trade-off the pyramid scheme industry has been looking for. You download an app, invite 5 other people to download the app, then they invite their own friends. Then once the ripple begins to stagnate, Rippln starts sending app advertisements through its app and makes off with it, compensating you but not your fans, who would only download the app to make money themselves.
