Moderately secure email with own domain Hey guys, I'm in the process of minimizing my internet tracking as much as possible without loosing too much of the everyday conveniences. In the process I'm trying to rid myself of most of my Google apps and accounts. So I'm looking for a new mail to replace my Gmail. I don't need a highly secure end-to-end encrypted email since I'm not a journalist, activist or engage in any criminal activity. I don't really care if the government can track me because I'm not that interesting to them. What I do want is a mail that: * Don't analyse my messages or tracks me for commercial reasons * Send and receive mails through encrypted transmission * Preferably store email encrypted at rest (safe from server hacking I guess?) * Also I think a big bonus is if they remove personal information, like ip-adress, from header So I found a couple of providers that might meet my needs, but I'm not sure which one to use. Here's a list: * [Zoho](www.zoho.com) - seems like the best choice. cheap and a lot of functions. * [Soverin](www.Soverin.net) - meets all needs, but a at a higher cost * [Runbox](www.runbox.com) - well established, since 20 years. Though don't encrypt at rest (is this a problem, mostly concerned about servers getting hacked) * [Mailbox](www.Mailbox.org) - also well established, not sure about their server encryption and such though So I would be more than grateful for any input, or if you have any other suggestions? Also when setting up a personal domain, do you have any suggestions for domain registrar?
