Monetary fines for disciplinary program. [Texas] Company I am working for has issued a new disciplinary program for Safety violations. Before you had 3 written warnings and at the 3rd written warning you could be terminated if the employer choose to. Fines now range from $25 to $100 per ticket(written warring). I feel like monetary fines is excessive. The previous system was sufficient. I have already asked the boss man what would happen if one choose not to sign it. Said the previous system would stand but wouldn't be happy. He choose his word carefully and said you would not be fired. The main problem is I feel like they are stepping on the rights of the field employees telling them they have to sign it with no other option. They never say it but they imply that if they don't they will be fired. If I challenge said forced signing of the new disciplinary program. Don't they have to prove that it is legal or is the burden of proof on me? Any help on reading material or contact information to find out (for free) the acceptable punishments for violation of disciplinary programs? Thanks in advance for any help. Let me know if you need me to clear anything up. EDIT: This [pay cuts](http://www.twc.state.tx.us/news/efte/ui_law_the_claim_and_appeal_process.html#discip_pay_cuts) and this [discipline](http://www.twc.state.tx.us/news/efte/discipline.html) most likely allows them to cut pay. I might not have any thing to stand on here.
