Any idea what this scam is? I received an email yesterday and have been responding back and forward, I'm very curious as to what the scam is as I haven't seen it before. Each line is the full text of that email. > person: I have been informed you are using my profile on your website. Please stop this as you do not have my permission or consent. I will be watching and will presue this if you do not stop using it. > me: xxxxxxxxx.com is a boilerplate site from yyyyyyyy. > person: I do not understand what that is. Please remove my profile > me: What profile? Can you provide a link? > person: email@addy.whatever (was just their email addy) > me: I can't find any record of you on any of my websites. Could you link to the actual webpage which contains your profile? No responses since. Edit: it is also worth noting that while I do run a few websites, none of them have user profiles or anything of that sort.
