I was looking for a LG washer/dryer on Craigslist. I found a set for a reasonable price of $500. I text the person of the phone number that was on the ad. Between texts and calls his wife wanted to make sure we paid so he said he's bank was at the Road Ranger in Combes, Texas. To go there and pay so I went and paid the Coinflip at the ATM $250 on 1/26/26 he walked through the process on the phone both times between 4:30-5pm and said he would take cash on the 1/27/26 but then told me in text that they were still in Corpus Christi with their inlaws and that his wife to make sure that I wanted the set to go again to the same Road Ranger to pay the other $250 totalling $500. We had discussed that after the payment went through that whatever time after that we could pickup the washer and dryer set in McAllen, Tx the time we agreed on was at 1pm on January 27th. When it was close to the time to go I called him to let him know that we were heading that way. The phone was no longer in service I knew at that moment I am been scammed. I felt many emotions at that moment. I felt stupid, betrayed, heart broken but I wanted and save money to have a washer and dryer of my own he was also selling a LG refrigerator as well. I thank God I didn't ay for that as well. The whole sad situation about mine is that the took it off Craigslist for a couple of days and then I checked Craigslist again and they posted it 3 days ago. They posted the LG washer/dryer set 4 different times using the same pics I saw. They also posted the LG refrigerator 4 different times also with the same pics. I am trying everything in my power to stop these people from cheating and scamming people out. That's wrong and cruel. I hope they catch and they pay for the consequences. .css-c8hvdp{--Grid-columns:12;-webkit-flex-direction:row;-ms-flex-direction:row;flex-directi [BBB Scam Type: Online Purchase] [Business: Matthew Jon Worthington- Imposter Da] [Location: TX, USA- 78552]
