"The Processing Department" claiming to be a part of Nelnet to consolidate student loans. Hi, I want to see if I can find as many people as possible who have paid $600 to "the processing department" for Nelnet to get their student loan consolidated. They are not really Nelnet, Nelnet is contracted by the department of education to consolidate student loans. They do not have a "processing department" and they do not charge $600 to consolidate loans. It is a free service. This company does not give their actual company name because calling themselves a student loan processing department makes it so they can mislead people saying they are apart of Nelnet, then charge $600 for a service that you could get for free if you got a hold of the actual company. If anyone has had this happen to them please let me know. Thanks.
