"Amazon Delivery" scam - brushing scam? I received four calls from the phone number (206)-453-2329. I was on a work call, so after three calls I had my husband answer. He told the caller they sounded like spam, but she kept asking for me by name so he handed the phone to me. The person claimed to be an Amazon delivery rep contracted through a third-party service. She asked if she was speaking to “insert-my-name-here” (it was close to my maiden name, not a legal name, but not correct, though it's a common mistake) but I said yes so she didn’t have a true name confirmed technically. She then told me she had been trying to deliver a package to my apartment for 10 minutes and she called me four times because she couldn't figure out how to enter the complex. She was very upset someone had called her "spam" and seemed confused about why she was talking to a new person. I informed her I don't live at an apartment. She gave me the address, and it was the address of a new apartment my mother had moved to in the past week. Nobody knows this new address, and they wouldn't have sent me a package there anyway. I asked the "rep" if I could give her my mom's number, and she said no, that she was using a personal phone to call me and if she called my mom, my mom would then have HER private number so she didn't want to risk her security. I put her on hold to call my mom, who also said she had no package out for delivery. I didn't either. I put the "rep" or delivery person back on the line, and said I don't live at the complex, and my mother and I don't have any packages out for delivery. In total this call lasted about 7 minutes, most of it which was the alleged delivery person on hold. The woman on the call was very flustered and asked if she should report the package as spam/junk, I said yes, we didn't order anything, and then she hung up. I reported this call to Amazon online, and then called them to complain about the rep. They then told me that number wasn't associated with
