I have received numerous calls from a company called "Resolve", which apparently is some kind of foreign debt mediation company claiming that I have an outstanding debt with a Citibank Card from back in 2010. A lady identifying herself as "Lindsey May" was telling me about her claim and that the creditors just closed the case today and were planning to garnish wages and other collection methods that are not legal. I was surprised that she had all of my information including my SSN, but she apparently didn't have the information that this debt was discharged under bankruptcy in 2012. When I explained it to her, she stated that she did see that but that it did not discharge my tax debt on the amount owed. This is not correct, not to mention the statute of limitations on collecting debts. When I pointed this out and told her that I would see them in court, she became hostile and stated that she didn't understand why I was getting upset with her and said in a very hostile manner "I'm trying to help you but if you don't want it that's fine!" and hung up. I looked up the company on line and the information that I received said that they were affiliated with scams. The phone number that was used to call me was (252) 748-3968.
