Free Security System... (254-477-6644) I just got a call from a number (254-477-6644) claiming that I was eligible to have a free security system installed in my new home from a company called SBT . And then the guy started asking about my security and home, so I said "I'm not comfortable sharing that information" and he said "wow" and hung up. Pretty obvious that it's a scam I think (can't find the company). My question is this: should I be worried that this was a scam trying to "scope out" my house for a burglary? Or is it probably just a money scam? If I should be worried, is it the type of thing I should report to the police? Or should I just buy a gun and dog? Thanks all!
