My mother (deceased) received a letter in the mail without a return address. The envelope contained an official-looking flyer from Publishers Clearing House and a check for $9,950. The flyer claimed that my mother won $2.5 million and that she should call (289) 200-6523, but not discuss this letter with anyone. Using Google to search for the business name, it was apparent that this was a scam.
