My father was sent a job opportunity that he forwarded to me. I chose to trust my father before asking any questions. The job detailed an opportunity to earn 700 dollars a week by placing a "Lucky Energy Drink" decal on my car. I filled out a google form that requested information like my name, address, bank (just the name, no account #'s) birthday, car model and other personal information. I did NOT provide my SSN or any account information. After looking it up and reading that it was a scam, I reported it to the FTC. Fast forward: Yesterday, I received a text message informing me that my application was accepted and a package was being sent in the mail with a check. The scammer requested me to cash the check (3,900.67) and then request my bank to send 3,200 back to the provider. I will upload pictures of the check and the letter sent.
