The commercial said that they were guaranteed for life and that you had a 30 day risk free trial. I purchased 4 as I was going to give the other three as Christmas gifts. After trying the one I was keeping I found it to not be to the standard that they had advertised. I contacted them to initiate a return/refund and was told at that point that if it was opened or used that I could not get a refund. It had to be in its original packaging. I then emailed again and said how am I supposed to know if I like it if I can't try it, totally not what the advertisement said. I have since watched the commercial several times and one ad said Japanese, one said Japanese style, one said handcrafted by master artisans which I find hard to believe since they are made in China. After several emails and being told that there would be no refund until they received them back and that they had to be in the original unopened package I said the package was not sealed, it was actually a box with a magnetic closure and a sleeve over it. I was afraid that they would end up with my money and the knives as well so I let them know that at this point I would be keeping the knives as I felt that they could not be trusted. I even have a couple of videos of one of their commercials and all of my emails back and forth if you would like to see them. We found the phone # to be in Virginia (434-425-7300) and my husband called them to complain before I started the email process and was pretty much given the run around.
