Pretty sure I found a Craig's list scam. This is scam could be used as a prime example of what a craig's list scam looks like. More info in text. The posted link was just the listing we found. We were a little suspicious of the low mileage and price, but were willing to see what the deal was. This was the e-mail we got back * Hi, I've received your email regarding the 2002 Toyota Avalon XLS with 32,500 miles on it. The car is still for sale and my asking price is $2,700. It is a Avalon XLS model loaded with everything. The car is very well maintained and it has just been completely serviced. The engine 3.0L V6 runs very good and the automatic transmission shifts perfectly. The car is in perfect condition with clear title,no accidents, no liens or loans. You have here the VIN # ---------- to check it I'm an oceanographer and I'm on sea at this moment, so I left the car in Jackson, NJ at the shipping company, it's already packed and waiting to be shipped anywhere. * A bit more research and we found http://nashville.craigslist.org/ctd/4396925713.html http://buffalo.craigslist.org/ctd/4404039679.html and http://newlondon.craigslist.org/ctd/4396266321.html If you can't follow the links (they may be removed after we flagged this to craig's list) they are all the same car, same pictures, same price, but very different descriptions... The one in Buffalo comes with ski-pass through (I have no idea what that is, I live in the south and don't ski) and snow tires and a BOSE sound system. The one in new london has a JBL sound system. NONE of this is mentioned in the other two. That is not the only differences. Here is why we won't buy this and why we reported this to craigs list, I would like to know if anyone else thinks this is an outright scam and if you don't I would like to know why you would trust this car. Flag one: Low milage, low price Flag two: seller is overseas and will SHIP the car. Flag three: multiple listings with different descriptions over wha
