Col. Steven James Had a moment of ignorance. Put a $600 DSLR camera on craigslist. Got a text from 508-388-2981 (area code not too far from me). Didn't google it. Should've. Fucker's all over on there. So anyways, says he's Col. Steven James of the USMC and he wants to buy it as a surprise gift fr his son who is studying abroad. Not too weird. So get his PayPal, he transfers me the $$$ and it's pending, just have to ship it. I'm not too experienced with this so I thought 1) The emails were legit and 2) the process was legit. Now, item is shipped, and no money. I google the number, same fuckin story, and I'm out a $600 camera and gonna be short rent. Tl;dr Didn't google a phone number from a CL reply, now I'm out a $600 camera and short on rent.
