Today I received a call on my home phone from "Mary" who said she was from my Internet Service Provider. I asked if she knew who my Internet Service Provider is and she correctly answered Spectrum. She said she was calling because "your modem is not responding to monthly manual updates" and asked if I had unplugged or restarted it recently. I asked what did she mean by "recently" and she couldn't give me a specific answer. She then asked me to get in front of my computer and started giving me keyboard commands "to fix the problem." I was suspicious because I don't think Spectrum makes calls like this and also she didn't sound very professional. I said it wasn't a convenient time and asked for a number to call back, which she said was 513-859-3850. I hung up before she could do me any damage.
