Scammer initially reached out to us via bark.com. We were looking for a rental valet to take us to a funeral. Their website directed to a WhatsApp number (5153000010) and the contact “James” set up a driver for Jan 14. They requested two payments via Zelle to secure the booking. We became suspicious after the car driver texted from a different number but with the same grammar. Upon asking to cancel they said an additional 150 needed to be sent. We refused and said to take it out of the 575 refund directly. They then became hostile, said we were forfeiting the refund and told us to contact fbi etc and called us idiots.
