I believe I was initially notified via text message that my 'application is under review,' though I can't find that message/messages now, but it planted the seed that somebody was reviewing an application I had submitted. I actually had been applying to jobs. I got a text one day that said, "Important update from Swiftden Transport: Please check your email for the latest information" The next day I received a text from the same number saying, "Exciting news! Your application has been reviewed. Check your inbox for details from Swiftden Transport." I received a phone call while I was busy so I didn't answer. The same number immediately called back. Again, I didn't answer. Then I got a text message from that number saying "Hello, This is Bianca Wright from the HR Department of Swiftden Transport. I'm calling about your job interview for the remote shipment quality controller position. We need to know if you're interested or not so we can conduct an interview or take you off the list. Please check your email for further information about the job or you can send me an SMS or please call me back at (515) 375-0867. Thank you and have a great day!" I called the number back. A woman identifying herself as Bianca Wright from the Swiftden HR department directed me to emails that were in my spam folder (I can't believe I fell for this crap) showing me to the hiring process with a fake contract to upload my ID front and back, along with a selfie in front of the ID. There was going to be more, but they called me again during work and I couldn't talk, so I gave a time for the person to call me later in the day, but never heard from them.
