Stolen Identity? I'll start off by saying I live in Iowa and am 25 years old. I registered my own business earlier this year and have since started receiving large quantities of AARP and social security / retirement information in the mail at the business's registered address (my parents -- a more permanent address than my own). I thought little of it, but my parents are concerned that my social security number has been stolen or something of that nature. I wasn't too concerned, as it seemed a minor thing, but today I received a voicemail from an Iowa-based law firm and/or scam looking for someone named Jose Luma. I assume it's a scam, but they seem to originate more from 800 numbers and this number was based in Ames, Iowa. (5155982224) I followed this up with a looksy at my annual free credit report, and saw no suspicious activity. However, I'm still curious if there are any other means of checking up on my social security number's use. Should I be concerned at all with the AARP correspondence?
