Back in December of 2024 I received a call from a lady that said she was with MRG Mediation services. I had taken out a loan through Rushmore back in 2016 and I had to immediately pay them back. There were people coming to get me and they were going to garnish my income. They wanted me to pay them $200.00 but we settled on $150.00 every month by the 15th. They sent me a promissory contract with the intended creditor VIP Loan Shop-Rushmore with an account number starting with VXXXXXXXX. It seemed legit because I did have a Rushmore account, but I do not remember getting a loan through them. I paid them $150.00 every month since then and I would always call the number that was listed on the contact 650-502-8836 to make a payment through cash app. What made me decide to get on here today is because I contacted them to pay and the number was invalid. I made the weird incoming fax beeps. I called four times and went to google to see if they had a new number because I did not want to fall behind. But the address and name never came up. I typed in MRG or Mediation services with address still nothing. last time I tried and BBB website popped up I seen a complaint with the same name of MIA regarding getting scammed. I was in total shock! I would always catch when someone is trying to scam me, but they gave me no room to review or research what they were speaking of. Each time I paid them the receipt would say Legacy Merchant. I have the promissory contract on my mobile device, but it has too much personal information for me to upload on here. As I am typing this I am so embarrassed and ashamed.
