I'm calling in reference to a civil complaint order that was forwarded to my office from South Central CT . The complaint is attached to your name, date of birth, and social security number. It is imperative that I speak with you or your legal representative immediately. You may contact me at 659-599-1168 and refer to your internal case number (gave number). On the caller ID, the number he called from was 833-677-9987. I called back and asked if they could tell me who the creditor was and they said it was Advance Cash, which is the umbrella company and then listed off a lot of high interest loan companies. When I asked for proof of this debt they sent me a generic email while I was on the phone. I told them this was not proof of me owing a debt. They then told me because I was in a mediation phase of this debt I could only get that proof when I go to court. They wanted me to make payment of a specific amount and said if I didn’t they were going to refer my name to the check fraud database at the end of the day. I disputed what they were saying and the legality of entering my name in a check fraud system without providing me proof of the fraud. I was then transferred to a supervisor who gave me a date of more than 10 years ago for this debt. The bank name given to me is for a bank that no longer exist.
