Please see the exact description as someone else who wrote about this scam in the BBB notes about Cleave Therapeutics, Inc. Here is my experience: They had an ad on Facebook to apply for a Data Entry Clerk position. They did not name the company - just wanted to see if there was any interest. I entered my name, phone number, and email address to show interest. They sent me an email within 12 hours that I needed to complete an employee form as well as an assessment form with questions on the position and pharmaceutical information. It was a timed test and it stated that you needed to go through it quickly as each question was timed. It had questions on confidentiality, leadership skills, pharmaceutical research, why you would be ideal for the job, etc. The letter came from Mrs. Laura Brown, HR Assistant. The next morning I received a job offer with a document for me to sign as an employment agreement and the employment agreement was signed by Amy Burroughs, MBA, CEO. According to LinkedIn, Amy Burroughs is now the CEO of Terns Pharmaceutical and has been since February 2024. The phone number used on the website (747-209-8131) came from Burbank, Van Nuys, and ,Glendale (the San Fernando Valley) - not San Francisco. I called the phone number and it was a non-working number. They then sent me a text that stated I needed to sign the employment agreement right away, which was sent via email. The text number (945-398-7266) was from Dallas - Fort Worth Metroplex North Texas. The offer letter stated that Mrs. Barbara Smith would do the Onboarding. It also mentioned that the company would pay for all of the equipment needed, which included a MacBook, scanner, printer, and Wi-Fi. Since I did not go any further with their offer, I was not asked for any money. My gut told me this was a scam and it was exactly that. [BBB Scam Type: Employment] [Business: Cheave Therapeutics Inc.
