I searched for miniature schnauzer puppies and found the website https://familytreeminiatureschnauzers.com. I inquired about a puppy through the website, and the scammer reached out to me later that day asking if I was interested in a pet or in breeding. I indicated pet. The scammer then asked if I wanted male or female. We continued to have a conversation about the puppy. After deciding which puppy I wanted, the scammer indicated that I needed to put a $300 deposit to reserve the puppies. The scammer gave me a Zelle number to send the money to. That number was 772-501-6757 listed in Zelle as an Antonio Jones. I sent the money that day. On March 7th I arrived in Cape Coral, Florida at the address the scammer gave me. The house appeared empty and nobody came to the door. There were no puppies barking. I immediately called the scammer's phone number, but there was no answer. I then texted the phone number but there was no response. At that point I realized it was a scam. I asked a friend to call the number I Zelled the money to, and she confirmed the voicemail was Antonio Jones. I then asked her to inquire about puppies with the 239 number. She did, and immediately she received a response from the scammer. The scammer asked her if she wanted a male or female puppy. She said she wanted to see the puppies in person and then she would decide. She did not receive any further contact from the scammer. After doing further research, I learned that the website was created o [BBB Scam Type: Other] [Business: Family Tree Miniature Schnauzers Dat] [Location: OH, USA
