I was having problems with my Epson printer and went on the website for Epson to get help with my printer. While on the site a chat box came up so I put in the information about my printer and the problem I was having. The person on the chat named Jennifer (who was not with Epson but I didn't know that) said she would call me to get a connection with my printer to reset it. She tried but said that she would look at my computer and said that I had been Hacked which was not true. While she was fixing this problem another person Sam walked me through fixing my printer, he did get the printer working. Jennifer told me that I would need to purchase security the amount would be $799.99 for 5 years or $1600.00 for a lifetime. I didn't think I had any other choice and I paid $799.99. After talking with my Son who is a police officer he told me I was scammed. I tried to contact Citi Credit card company, they said that I should contact the better business bureau and the Attorney General for Missouri. I find it hard to believe that this company was able to get on Epson's site and put up a chat, because when I called Epson they told me they are not associated with this company and they don't charge to fix a problem with their printers. I am at my wits end. All I have from them is a paid receipt and phone numbers on my Citi card which is different. 980-227-0258.
