I received a voicemail from “John Young” calling from the Illinois State Processing department in conjunction with Cook County pertaining to received from “Morris and Jacobs”. He called from a local number, quoting the last four of my ssn, stating that there is a judgement or lien to be processed by tomorrow afternoon if the matter is not handled, but I can take care of that by calling this number (which he erroneously offered three different times during the message): 855-717-7356. I believe this to be a scam. Below is the transcription from my voicemail. “…my name is John Young with the Illinois State processing The reason I’m calling is I’ve got a fax notification in the office from Morris and Jacobs, pertaining to a judgement or lien pending, scheduled to file tomorrow afternoon in the Cook County court’s office. I received a voicemail from Miranda at the Missouri state processing unit calling to inform me of a summons filed from the attorneys office of Morrison Jacobs. She used my first and last name stating a potential notice of claim is to be filed at the county clerks office and once motion is filed a processor will be dispatched to my place of employment or my residential address listed(gave my street name) to deliver the documentation. Miranda stated that if I would like detailed information or would like to obtain a stop order I can contact Morrison Jacobs at 855-717-7356 and gave me a reference number. I received a call almost identical to this over a year ago claiming to be with a different attorney office(Phillip something attorney). I did not contact them and nothing was served to me.
