Community Reports

I have been receiving phone calls virtually every day (they go into my voice mail). I report them as spam and block the caller, but the calls keep coming in daily from different numbers. Today's call came from 857-227-6999. I assume the call is from an automated speaker -- it's difficult to tell because the recorded voice doesn't sound robotic, but the press "1" or "9" suggests it's recorded. In any case, the voicemail message goes like this: "Your tax file is still showing a possible balance or some unfiled returns. If you have a moment, please press "1" to speak with your assigned tax officer. Based on the information we have under the new IRS Fresh Start Program, your household may qualify for partial forgiveness in some cases that can significantly reduce or even eliminate what's owed. It's important we speak with you before this year's tax deadline. If you have a moment, press "1" to go over your options before the current budget for your state is exhausted. To opt out press "9". Hi there, this call is in reference about the new update on your tax file. Good afternoon. This is Lucy with the National Tax Executive Office. My difect line is 844-487-9799. Your tax file - it's still showing a possible balance or someone filed returns based on the information we have on file. Under the new IRS Fresh Start Program, your household may qualify for partial forgiveness. In some cases that can significantly reduce or even eliminate what's owed. It's important that we speak with you before this year tax deadline. Whenever you get a chance to speak, please call us back so we can go over your options with you." .css-c8hvdp{--Grid-columns:12;-webkit-flex-direction:row;-ms-flex-direction:row;flex-direction:row;min-width:0;bo [BBB Scam Type: Tax Collection] [Business: National Tax Executive Office Date R] [Location: MA, USA- 02116]
