They keep calling wanting me to call 1866-448-3953. After numerous calls and messages left I ooked the number up on the internet and saw the same numbers on the BBB website. I did not return any calls nor speak to anyone since I have not received anything in the mail regarding any owed money nor have I tried to borrow moneys from any bank. Also the messages sounded like a digital voice. So armed with all this information I will continue to block this message and not return calls. Voice mail: From "File Verification Service" attempting to reach "name" that "paperwork regarding your file is preparing to be sent out" they will attempt to reach you at home and if not then "will attempt to reach you at your verified place of employment, in order to reschedule call the issuing agent at 866 448 3953 together with your reference number (number)... take note this is very sensitive and important we hear from you today." I believe it is a scam because the caller stated it is a courtsey call to inform of paperwork that will be delivered at home/work, but then try to scare you into calling a different, not local, number and end with the important/urgent statement. No legit company name is mentioned, caller does not introduce herself, and "agent" is not named. Also, the message is for my dead grandpa. The person states they are calling from compliance department but doesn't identify the company they represent. It is difficult to make out the reason for call but they indicate they have employer information and that the next step is to reach out to HR department and go on to say that they know, "this can be embarrassing". They also called from local area code and left the same call back number indicated from previous complaint "866-448-3953". Hopefully this will prevent others from falling for the attempt to expose whatever valuable information that will cause financial loss to targeted individuals. Today I had a call from (909) 295- 4863, but I did not anaswer. Right after I revieced a call from (909) 294-4535 and i picked up and the male on the lime asked for (said my name but wrong ladt name) and asked if it was me. I did not cinfirm it was me and asked what the call for about and he said it wad concerning a case and they needed informtion and right away he said if not our client will go to the job and deal with the situation (whatever that means). I told him ok and he said well if this is not dealt with them we will go to the job and I told him to go ahead and hung up. About 5 minutes or less I received a text message from (210) 236-0897 saying : This is a message from File Verification Services on behalf of C.F.M. (my name was included but also wrong ladt name), please contact 866-448-3953 regarding your file 647-03648 to prevent escalation. I looked up this 866 number and saw the complains of other people that got either the same or similar scams. My sister called me (she lives in another state) and they try scaring her as well. She got scared and called me. I told her to block the numbers and if they continue to try, just tell them she doesnt care. I hope these criminals are found because i feel they will get some victims outnof this. I hope this helps. I received a voicemail for my wife on my cell phone. The lady spoke with a thick accent so that her words were difficult to understand at times. In the voicemail, she claimed to be with FCS File Verification Services and said paperwork is being delivered to her home or verified place of employment. She explained at least twice "This is a time sensitive matter" and directed her to call back today. The phone number provided on the voice mail was 866-448-3953 with case number 649-03895. A women called stating the it was an urgent matter and it was very important that they hear from me today. They left my fathers name at the start of the message but did not provide any details just that I needed to call 866-448-3953 and give them the reference case number to deal with whatever this is. Being threatened to come to my home and or to my business and be disruptive and embarrassing, the same as the other complaint above This is the 3rd and final attempt message from FVS intended for “ my name “. This is not a sales or any marketing call, several attempts have been made to contact you and your file was tagged already as red flag for any get processing. And for immediate service. Now I have been provided with 2 addresses. One is in your home address, and one appears to be your place of employment in the event that it is your HR department will be contacted for their policy and procedure. In order to have the service take place on their premises. Now I know this can be disruptive as well as embarrassing. So if you want to redirect service, contact the issuing agent today at number 866-448-3953 with your case number 603 dash 01118. If the issuing agent does not hear back for me today, we will be forced to move forward without your consent for noncompliance. Said paperwork regarding my file is being prepared to be sent out to my home address and if I'm not there to sign for it, they'll come to my work address, even though they never stated what my address was. Said I needed to call them back at the (866) 448-3953 number, even though they called from a local number in my state. Local area code calls me a couple different times and leaves voicemails sounding like my father was in legal trouble or something and gave me a call back number of 866 448-3953 when I looked this number up it lead me to a thread here where someone experienced the same thing with the same call back number. I have a lady call me saying her name was Donna Lee This is the voicemail she left me after she told me I had a few days to get my money together or they will sue me . Take money out of my bank and garnish my wages My name is Donnelly. I am with Central Financial. I am a case manager and I'm trying to reach (my name). I spoke to you recently regarding a couple loans in the past. I placed your case on a courtesy hold so that you would have an opportunity to resolve this voluntarily. I haven't heard back from you and the hold is expiring. So please give me a call as soon as you get the message. The number is 866-448-3953 and reference case number 649-02558 dash 04719. Bye bye And than I got a call from another guy saying they are giving me a courtesy call and they came by my house and I wasn’t there to sign for paperwork so they are going to show up at my employment if I don’t call Donna back and give them what they need etc They have me scared .
