I received a call from a woman using the number 630-445-2171 claiming to be a courier service for Collins & Associates. She called me by the wrong name and gave a very old address. When I called her out for having old and wrong information she hung up on me. About 10min later she called back on a private number claiming a clerical error and had my corrected last name. She left the name Collins & Associates and gave me the number 877-310-0946 with a reference number. I came into my office the next day to find a message from Rachel Evans with the same reference number. She claimed this was a civil lawsuit that has not been filed, but somehow I was going to be served. Also, she claimed to have sent me information in the mail; which would have been to a very old address. I was told this was a US Bank charge off from 2016 which also made zero sense. A person by the name of Lauren Thomas called to want to deliver documents to me using my maiden name but using my current address. She also called my niece who lives across the country. They said to call 877-310-0946. [BBB Scam Type: Phishing] [Business: No Business name but did use the name Lauren Thomas] [Location: MD, USA- 21921]
