I booked a rental car with Budget via Costco Travel. My flight was cancelled and I rebooked on a later flight, so I called what I thought was the Budget counter in Santa Barbara airport to ensure that Budget knew I was coming in on a later flight, and to keep my car reservation. I was told Budget needed to charge me $75 to keep my car rental, because I had booked via Costco and not direct with Budget. Then I was asked to confirm the $75 charge via an email coming from eTripDesk.com. eTripDesk also needed me to email my Driver's License to verify that I was the person initiating the charge.
