A letter was received in the mail that listed the year/make/model of a car I recently purchased. It named me, had a "FINAL NOTICE" header, and had no company name or website mentioned. The letter went on to say: "This letter is to inform you about an important matter regarding the warranty on your YEAR MAKE MODEL. Our records indicate that you have not contacted us to keep the warranty up to date. By neglecting your vehicle's warranty, you may be financially liable for any and all repairs. We reserve the right to revoke allocated waiver after 7 days of this notice." It listed a "Vehicle Owner ID" and gave the phone number (888)-399-8934. When I called, they told me I still had to pay for the warranty even though my vehicle's warranty was included in the purchase of the vehicle. My mother received a letter in the mail without a return address, identifying company, or email. The letter stated "This letter is to inform you about an important matter regarding the warranty on your 2025 NISSAN Kicks MPV. Our records indicate that you have not contacted us to keep the warranty up to date. By neglecting your vehicles warranty, you may be financially liable for any and all repairs. We reserve the right to revoke allocated waiver after 7 days of receiving this notice. Please call immediately as this will be out final attempt to notify you (888) 399-8934." Along with this they included a vehicle owner id that doesn't line up with any id number my mother has. Along with this it has a "waiver for $199" [BBB Scam Type: Phishing] [Business: Car Warranty Letter] [Location: NY, USA - 14217]

A nameless organization sent me this letter. "This letter is to inform you about an important matter regarding the warranty on your 2025 Ford Bronco Sport. Our records indicate that you have not contacted us to keep the warranty up to date. By neglecting your vehicles warranty, you may be financially liable for any and all repairs. We reserve the right to revoke allocated waiver after 7 days of receiving this notice." It's similar to what was brought up in someone else's experience on this website, same exact text minus the vehicle type/brand and the phone number was one digit off. The example on this site: (888)-499-8934 My letter: (888)-399-8934 There was also a waiver for $199 for the warranty. Plus I just got this car just over a month ago so I highly doubt I need to update my warranty which is good for 3 years. A lack of website and company name, etc. also felt off.
