Received a call on my cell phone that went straight to voice mail. The woman gave the name of Alera Whitcomb & she said she was from Resolution Outreach center at the Center for Tax Mediation Agency. She wanted me to call them back because my record shows that I had unresolved issues & they wanted to help alleviate my previous tax bill. She gave a call back # of 888.528.2033. [BBB Scam Type: Tax Collection] [Business: Center for Tax Mediation agency Date] [Location: IA, USA - 50021]
I received a voicemail message: This is xxx from the Resolution Outreach Unit @ The Center for Tax Mediation Unit (2nd msg - different voice ) said @ Tax Mediation Relief. Your records still show potential unresolved flagged issues which could result in extra charges or collection activity, if left unresolved. Since extension period is active today, there are release programs available that might reduce, delay, or fully remove certain balances once the review is completed. Most individuals qualify now for reduced payment or full waiver & abatement depending on filling details. Review is quick & best completed before year end processing delays begin. Please call me today @ 888-528-2033. If this is an error press 3 when you call. The 1st call came at 10:10 12/3/25 from 307-464-9565 & the 2nd call (almost word for word as 1st just different voice & call from but same number for call back) came @ 10:20 12/3/25 from 602-887-6466 [BBB Scam Type: Tax Collection] [Business: Center for Tax Mediation Agency Date] [Location: WI, USA - 54313]
