I was called by "Erin" at United Delivery Services. She said that she was checking if I could be home tomorrow because "FJM" wanted them to deliver documents that had to be signed for. I wasn't expecting any documents and she was unable to provide any info except FJM's phone number (951-894-8673) and a reference number (20403646). I was suspicious because I've never heard of either United Delivery Services or FJM. I looked them up online, and it appears that United Delivery Service is a real company--or at least they have lots of entries if you google them--but a different phone number than Erin was calling from. I recently realized that ANYONE can list a business online and they don't have to prove it's real, so I don't know if UDS is genuine or not, but I remained suspicious. I couldn't find a company listed under FJM either, or at least one that would be sending out documents. Then I looked up "FJM scam" and saw that someone had reported a scam on a different site than this ("Ask," maybe? I've forgotten). Then I looked again and found the one that BBB posted here. So I'm 99% sure it's a scam, and I'm not going to call them. The more I think about it, the less likely it seems that a delivery company I've never seen in this part of the company would be trying to schedule deliveries for another company--or that a company sending documents would send them out without prior notice. Oh, yes, and "Erin" said "They sent you out a notice last week. Didn't you get it?" Of course I didn't get it. But how would she know FJM sent out a notice last week if she's with an independent delivery service? The initial phone call sounds legit, but the more you think about it, the whole thing starts to smell very fishy. But imagine if someone actually were w [BBB Scam Type: Phishing] [Business: United Delivery Service for FJM Date] [Location: NY, USA- 1

They told him that the paperwork was sent here but we weren’t home to sign for it so it was returned. Told if we set up payment arrangements, it wouldn’t go to court for a 25% garnishment. He gave the bank info and they promised to email the documentation within the next hour. We never received it, so I did a reverse phone number search and found others on the BBB with random calls from this number. They did not provide an email, so I had to make up something so I could continue this form. .css-1w6dufj{-webkit-box-flex:0;-webkit-flex-grow:0;-ms-flex-positive:0;flex-grow:0;-webkit-flex-basis:auto;-ms-flex-preferred-size:auto;flex-basis:auto;width:calc [BBB Scam Type: Other] [Business: Frazier Law Firm] [Location: IN, USA- 47421]
